Indian billy ice

Working with a local writer (Constance Pirner), this book’s key scenes were illustrated and curated for layout with copy ahead of production. It is a historical and mildly dramatic telling of a local legend — “Indian” William Ice, the founder of Barrackville, WV. The book is for all ages but geared toward younger readers.

Intro spread: Most illustrations span pages and use strong geometric shapes and a monochromatic palette.
There was an attempt to show various perspectives throughout/wide landscapes, very close, and inbetweeen for pacing.
