WVU Rebrand.
Let’s Go!
Summer 2025, WVU rebranded their marketing voice and visual branding materials. After a large survey and audit of current work with students, alumni, fans, and stakeholders — a more direct and focused approach was applied to the university’s look. Additionally, the tool-kits used for creating branded university work had a major overhaul to better represent the new direction. Below showcases these additions, their justifications, and application in the real world.

PUTTING IT IN PRACTICE.
Being able to share design elements and tools is crucial with hundreds of creators. Adobe CC Libraries was utilized to build out and update toolsets for most used apps. The same collection was adapted and made available to users of Canvas, too. Making tools accessible and easy to use helps to ensure consistency and best practices.
PUTTING IT TO WORK.
The best way to inform on updates and changes is to put it out there. Big impacts were made by showcasing the feel and breadth of the rebrand in high traffic areas, at events, and while being integrated into print and digital efforts for newly designed and updated university marketing.
